I don't think you can claim to own your copy of AutoCAD, you have the rights to use a copy of the original you may not modify it, you may not resell it, you may not distribute it in any way – I don't see how it can be claimed as 'owned'. I made my living space my studio a few years ago, it's not the movie-style open loft with a Ducati in the lounge and a loft lift bringing wealthy friends up for cocktails every Wednesday and a $20 000 coffee maker running 24/7 – because (and I suspect the same is true for you, contrary to your claim that resources and money are not a factor in your adventures or projects) I had to to make economic sense of my hours that are dictated by the odd and long hours of my creative moods. I too could not accommodate (not physically or emotionally) another human being in here at the moment so I think I get you now.

I understand about not having space or even a comfortable bed and a small table because I'm poor. I have some modest possessions but being poor you can't afford a car for instance and either have to do without or buy the cheapest item you can find and once in a while if I go to a dinner, I try to get a seat at a bigger table cause I'm so tired of being cramped into a small place and things constantly falling off my small table. What's worse is that people assume you can just afford this and that and why don't you buy this or that and they even have the nerve to laugh when I tell them that I can't afford this or that.

After the kids moved out and retired from my biz and then divorce, Living alone is different now, bed is in the living room and my ham radio and sound system . Dining room table is a catch all for paperwork and mail. My place looks like yours. Have a playmate that comes over few times a week and that seems to work for us. If we would start living together i think the house would be back to normal single family home again and have more social stuff going on. I also have been into electronics and mechanical all my life. I love your show. I think a day with you on the bench would be fun. 73's

Q12: I understand you 100%. I think you can buy something in the middle of nowhere, solar, wind energized, Satellite connected.. for Home temperature control make a 100m hole under your house, etc. and make a community there. FranLab Valley. I bet you some will follow you… after psychological test passed, obviously (you don't want serial killer in the hood).. and besides Cody's LAb Valley… hey! What if a Patreon has already some acres of land somewhere?

When the question about unlimited fund for a project came up, I paused the video and thought what I would do. I had a hard time coming up with something, until I remembered that the most interesting things in life don't require much money, they require much time. Then you said the same. I think the world is seriously on the wrong track with all the emphasis on work, money, consuming short-lived goods. It will probably need a few more centuries for the majority to learn that time is more important than material things.

Nothing wrong with your head size, nothing wrong with your construction. Seems you are having a hard time learning that you are attractive. I mean, how many people have told you so on your channel? Hundreds? Thousands? All blind? – I'd love to be tall and slender, but I stopped growing at 170 cm (may be fewer by now).

Looks familiar. It is a case of TMS. TOO MUCH SHIT. I feel your pain. (not really pain. a life choice, If I had more space I would be working to support the space and not doing what I want) My place is lived in, not antiseptic like all these folks you have seen in the last year on zoom calls where you can see their house in the background. Their houses are empty. No pictures, no nick knacks, no character. Just furniture and home fixtures with nothing on it. Barebones like a furniture show room. I have too many hobbies and I am working with all of them some time during the week so my stuff is always out in some stage of experimentation or completion. It is easier to leave some stuff out so I can just sit down immediately to test a theory that popped into my mind in that instant while constantly looking for a solution to some project problem not too far in the back of your mind.

I love flying! GA is such a great opportunity that many from Gen X on are missing out on! BTW, what's your favorite plane? I have a pipe dream of getting an old C-336 and restoring it like we did with a nice 1960 C-182! Also, did you know that Cessna had an adventure trying out rotor-craft design/manufacturing!

Thanks for all that you share!

I understand that the one consistent thing that people report after meeting stars and celebrities, is that they tend to have large heads which seem disproportionate to their bodies. So it looks like Fran's celebrity and star-quality were predestined!

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mike Mettal says:

Thanks a lot for the shout out! My online name as I've been using Mike Mettal for over a decade is read like "metal" back in the day Facebook wouldn't allow the use of nicknames so anything that seemed fishy to them wouldn't be allowed so the name Mike Metal couldn't exist but Metal with two t letters could from there on I wrote it like that. Eyebuy direct (think you know them) have a substantial collection of acetate frames, since I don't need eyeglasses yet, I wasn't aware there was such diversity in their material.
