So the Google liaison who spends all day dealing with search parameters thinks you should waste all day dealing with search parameters.
Fran, I agree. Google invented this monster and they need to do the work to make it more humane. So the search terms that push to the top should have an expiration date and a way to give other terms a chance. What a mess they have created. And the information is feeding our thoughts which feeds the clicks in a feedback loop that spirals off into bedlam.
When Google was new, the clicks were done by people who grew up using a card catalog in the library.
More and more the Google clicks are done by people who get their information by Google clicks….
Reminds me of the Jello Biafra quote,
"shut up and be happy, the conveniences you demanded are now mandatory"

I just sort of feel like if someone, somewhere, didn't have their location data and identification tracked and recorded, Google would deploy a small army to rectify that horrible affront…to Google. I just think this isn't a priority.

I’m confused. Didn’t they say they do have a way to prevent the trolls from running the results, and that it’s called Policy Removals?

Sullivan fails to appreciate the fact that a human wrote the code, unless Google has made a huge breakthrough in AI. So any changes in the code will produce automated responses, but humans made the code that generates the automatic result.

It also seems to be a huge flaw in their software that it allows trolls to do what they do.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Sundling says:

It would help if Google ignored searches initiated from the "People also ask" list when compiling the "People also ask" list. That would break the feedback loop and require trolls to work constantly to keep things there.
