I play and give my tips on how to play real Atlantic City Blackjack using perfect strategy - or as near to perfect as I play anyway. A few gaffes, but imagine how well I play when I'm not having to play to the camera too! Enjoy!

Even on a cruise ship I was just on with a bunch of younger people for a band I love, the casino was a nasty, dark, smelly place, and I had zero interest in doing anything except running from one side of it to the other. Ghastly places.

Walking away is not a strategy, unless you walk away and never play in your life again. It's an illusion. Blackjack has no memory (long term that is, only memory are the cards that are left in the shoe). If you play on or return a week later, it does not matter at all.

Add one more variable. Cash a $100 for chips every 10 minutes or so. Pit bosses hear this and comps start flowing. Keep the chips in your pocket of course. Free drinks, meals, and lodging because they think you're plopping down a grand an hour.

Missed at counting card total is very common, at times its an indication the player is tired and should stop. It's also an indicator of a person's attention span limit, my limit is 5 minutes then I begin to slip.

FYI: Players can touch the cards in a "Pitch" game which generally has slightly better overall odds than a "Shoe" game… I did get 4 Blackjacks in a row at a table in Vegas once, but also had a the worst BAD BEAT EVER in a heads-up game when my two 9's were split and doubled making two 19's which were crushed when the dealer turned over FIVE 4's!

I'm not an experienced card player nor do I gamble .Not even the lottery . It's fun as long as no money is involved . Of course I'd stake you Fran at AC and give a percentage . Very interesting .

I go to the Casino without any cards, and with enough cash to cover the entry, the entertainment and food, with the money for the Casino there as money to lose. That works well, you will likely leave with nothing, but have had some entertainment doing so. Done that from the first time I went to a Casino, where we decided on a whim to go there, and we scraped together entry out of coins. Walked in with limited remainder, and after 4 hours we left, with the Casino paying for the drinks we enjoyed, having had a little good fortune on the slot machines. No shows, we did not have the cover, but money from the Casino paying for drinks, and when I left I still had my original amount of money, so overall a good win. Played that way ever since, as it is a good strategy.

I haven't gone to a casino in years, but I am reminded that the house always wins. If I play it's just for entertainment. I look forward to you getting your lab back together. I just took a new job as an electrical engineer – 10 minute walk from where I live. This new job has lots of smart people, so after I get over my imposter syndrome, I can go in the lab and do real stuff!

if you play the worlds best stategy, you have 48 or so percent chance. There's no advantage unless counting cards which is for math wiz types only. The casino will ultimately win the longer you play. you win this time, lose next. There are no carreer blackjack champs because the best players are just following the chart and lose 52 percent on average. You are making if sound like if you play right, you can beat the casino. you can but can also lose 20 hands in a row playing buy the best math.

Hi Fran, just don't get caught, those casino's if they find out , that you count cards ,they simply can and will ban you. If you need donation, you have lots of subscribers, so basically just ask even 1 dollar will help, if amount of subs is right.

I totally agree with all your principles, but the dealer at a real Casino would have more luck than this. Not once did the dealer pull a 10 and then a picture and vice versa. That happens a lot in the real world. I reckon you've set this to easy mode

Well I had no idea that I had the slightest interest in Black Jack until your explanation Fran. While I have no intention of getting into gambling, I can imagine this being huge fun under the strict rules of engagement you describe. Even ending up back at zero would be fun just to see the journey. And as they say in the ads over here, "when the fun stops, Stop!".
