    I'm surprised that all the zero-g flying is done manually. Seems like it would be fairly easy to automate. You'd just need a 3-axis accelerometer and some feedback loops to keep the acceleration zero on all axes. Fran, maybe you could design them a zero-g autopilot?

    Great explanation Fran. We all know, more or less, what time is by our experience of living through it and space by moving in it but I would love to hear your explanation of spacetime.
    Also, gyroscopes, why do they do what they do? Now for the practical application of precession, explain how counter steering works while cornering your motorcycle. As a motorcyclists I find it is a most useful effect when barrelling into a tightening corner too fast 😂.

    That's an interesting take on the gravity perspective. It does however make sense. I mean based on relativity and black hole theory, planets would experience acceleration to a way lesser extent. And kinda in defense of flat earth types, 3 dimension objects probably do appear flat and without surface to a being of 4 dimensions.

    I've often wondered why you can get the zero g experience in those planes when they make an angled decent, and you've perfectly illustrated that to me. It's the same principle as astronauts in orbit and now it seems so obvious 🤦

    yes, you are right in the nearby-micro but in the universal macro MASS is still king.

    Whether or not you're standing still when in free fall is contingent on whether or not you believe we move forward in time. Personally, I think that's just how we choose to interpret it because of its utility. If you believe you are moving in time, then in free fall you're traveling at the maximal speed (light speed) through the time axis in a 'straight line' with respect to the space-time coordinates. Gravity is a geometric artefact

    Fran, your explanation of gravity was quite good. I envy your zero-G experience. "Gravity" and spacetime are really quite counter-intuitive. It took me a while to wrap my head around it. But thanks to clever YouTubers like yourself, I managed to get a glimpse of the reality of spacetime. So thanks for that.

    there is no gravity, no free fall..this video is just proving einstein was right if you in inertial motion then you are floating just like the astronauts do in outer space and it's the earth that is accelerating at 9,8 m per second second upwards
    since the earth is energy density and it is also spinning then it is causing a pressure on vacuum of space that is accelerating towards the earth, and also the spin is causing frame dragging of accelerating space so the acceleration is angled in direction of earths own spin
    technically you are accelerating even if you are just floating and this due to the curved geodesics of time dilation caused by acceleration (of earth) itself

    Doesn't the theroy of relativity imploes that all objects are traveling towards each other or away from each other. The pencil and the floor met in the middle, both moved towards each other. The theory of gravity implies that all mass even that small pencil has gravity. Gravity is electricity, magnetism, angular velocity, and the curvature of space time. You only need three to produce gravity, and you will also produce the fourth. If you were placed in the middle of the void with no acceleration you would still be moving because of the curvature of space time your mass creates, the magnetism, and electricity that is in your body would eventually create spin. Even if you froze and the electricity ceased to exist, the angular velocity, and magnetism would produce a small electric charge. Im sure some of you won't believe this theory but you will everyday spin two rocks around each other, which sends a gravitional field through a wire to make lights light, brew your coffee, and charge your devices.

    I think that you are completely missing the point here. Gravity is no illusion. It's a force, more specifically one of the fundamental forces. Acceleration is the consequence of a force acting on, e.g., a body. The important point: a body experiences no acceleration if it moves with a constant speed and without change of direction. I think that you are trying to explain that people think they experience zero gravity/gravitational acceleration (G) when you are in orbit or a zero g flight. But of course you still experience the acceleration from the attraction by earths gravitational force. You are just falling at the same speed and direction as the airplane. That's why you have to repeat it all over again and again.
    And by the way: orbit decay of satellites happens almost completely because of the drag by the tiny bit of atmosphere thats left up there. Not because of changes in the gravitational force due to the potato shape of the earth.
