I was actually thinking bout this the other day completely unrelated ^^
It seems to be a common misconception, most (some?) toasters now use timer chips now. I don't know if they're all digital timers, but they're active.
"Digital" in the case with the recent clock video,
only means it shows numbers that themselves change instead of remaining static on an analog clock face.
The word "digital" actually refers to your fingers, (digits),
not about what kind of components the appliance contains.
The ramblings are sweet leave them in. Your brain is the best thing I enjoy watching work.

Heck yeah, resistors are inherent. I love me passive and I am an electronics technician with a degree but I just love passive "electronics" like electric guitar circuits
