Completely agree with you Fran well said.
The thing I don't understand about the flat earth theory how do they explain the change in weather or the curve of the earth that you can clearly see when you are in a airplane it's complete nonsense and it's fueled by the likes of fb along with all the other lies that you'd see on a regular basis. I'm off fb since 2014 and never missed it once

At least you got to document a UFO Fran….NASA apparently hasn't managed that yet…

The internet cultivates stupidity….flat earth is proof of that.

I always heard '…Ride it to the beach…' – catch a wave and ride it, no real plan

The only thing I don't like is how everyone wants one thing to be "the" reason why everything is falling apart. I don't think there is one reason. I don't think there is anything specifically or even generally that will be "the smoking meteor crater" of what will ultimately doom humanity. It is easy to point fingers at things that are 'new' and are currently being used to exploit people, but that is simply too narrow of a data set to truly point at the problem. Plus, that sounds a lot like "new thing == bad!" mentality that keeps a lot of people in terrible situations. Pointing to cell phones as "the worst" but then asking for having more discussion? The cell phone is a perfect medium for communication, and it can be used as such. The misinformation is the actual problem, not the phone. Information used to take so long to get anywhere, now it is instant. We need to figure out how to make fact checking instant, or at least somewhat punish the misinformation spreaders.

Used to be that you had to re-print a correction when you said something that later was found to be wrong. It had a real cost, because it took up real square inches of newspaper. The Internet could have made those corrections instant and cheap, but it isn't. Is the Internet to blame? No. The misinformation spreaders are to blame, no matter what medium they want to use.

Militant Ignorance : To KNOW they're WRONG but refuse to SEE.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars richfiles ฯ€ says:

Who knew that the great filter may possibly be the collective stupidity of humanity blowing through all of our resources before we can ever even leave this rock's neighborhood, cause a disturbing chunk of the masses don't even think we ever left the rock in the first place.
