When you look at the chart, there really is no reason that my channel even got off the ground to begin with, so staying true to form has it's drawbacks.

I had a web presence since 2000, way before YT and FB. It was great when it was just us nerds, and factual content.
I gradually got tired of the trolls, and bad behaviour, and when I retired and shut down my business, I trashed everything and disappeared.
I remain anonymous on line to this day, and I don't miss sharing my life, or the pressure to publish blogs and videos. It is fun to watch. 🙂

Your videos haven’t changed. They are the same. Just with some ads now.

We all understand that you need to eat – do whatever you need to maximize your revenue here but please continue to intersperse them with "classic FranLab". That's what keeps me coming back.

Hey Fran, I occasionally hear you dip into the realm of physics and cosmology. Have you considered a second channel for those discussions? I'd love to hear more of your thoughts and I'm sure other subscribers would too. A (mostly selfish) revenue stream idea to drop in the suggestion box 🙂

I rememeber what you did in the past. Dave mentioned how you modifield centre punches and I've been watching and doing the same to my punches since.

It sure is nice having you not dread reading the comments / chat, and
    the re-use / re-frame / re-upload thing sounds good.
To be honest, I am always looking to re-watch videos on basic electronics and troubleshooting, it's like getting new exercise equipment, you play with it for as long as it is novel.
I hope you do something along the lines of movie night.

Vsauce hasn’t changed the way he makes his videos in over a decade. Just saying.

When the time comes Fran… are you going to stand up and fight for freedom or stay in the lab? We are going to need smart people to rebuild the world. Are you on the side of the globalist who are forcing us to live our lives through the lense of these tyrannical technologies?

I used to watch R's channel but got caught up in the trollish behavior and stomped on before I even knew what was going on so I left. He promotes abusive attitudes for fun and profit by getting publicity so more people to know about his little repair store. He is selling all the time using abuse and greed. Love your rants, Fran.

Don't drop the mic. The ball grills on those shure whisperphones are a bugger to get the dings and dinks out of 😛

There probably ARE reasons why the "micro viral" videos were successful. It's just that you didn't, or don't, know the reasons. However, this sort of success is a cousin to the "luck favors the prepared" concept. And also related to "90% of success is showing up." You had some very successful videos impacting subscriber increases because you make a lot of videos. You are DOING something. And not always the same thing. Some may suddenly discover your channel due to something extra fashionable (like UFOs) but many may then stay because they also find they enjoy your other content.
