You really have to know the costs of the business you are about to go into, to the smallest detail, and project those costs years into the future even before you put down dollar one to enter a new business venture. When you sit down and do that math you end up with a figure that honestly reflects what you need at the start to have any chance of succeeding. These numbers can be scary - but should be heeded - otherwise you'll end up deep in debt quick, rather than turning a profit.

Well, this country is based on the concept of providing opportunities to people, not guaranteed success. That is the nature of a competitive business world. So, debt relief for either college or small business is not part of that provision of opportunity. It is up to each one of us to become the top gunslinger, not the government.

The debt relief for college is immoral, and it would be immoral for debt relief for small businesses that's why Republicans aren't bringing it to the table.

    The rocket analogy is perfect!

You are right. Love this channel.

How about we all pay back our own debt(s). Choosing to borrow is a personal decision not your neighbor's decision.

The Democrats already say that Republicans are all about fat cat business people, they'd definitely point that out if they tried to forgive business loans. They're probably better off with what they're doing now.

Hahaha, Fran, you should watch Louiss Rossmann to see what they are doing to businesses.

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Boomer Rocks says:

The reason Republicans will not counter with such a proposal is because they believe you should pay back the money you owe. Democrats love to hand out money that doesn't belong to them. Bidens student loan forgiveness is illegal and unconstitutional.. The millionaires and billionaires will not pay those loans, your local waitress, dishwasher, cook, gas station attendant and truck driver will bear that burden.

Debt release for business owners is bankruptcy, I thought. The business itself will be dissolved because, after all, it's not actually a person.

Trouble is that if there was debt relief for small businesses, everyone would start businesses, get the loan money, go bust then run and do it all again. When the money goes to a 'recognised institution' like a uni or college, there are gov kick backs…

Two completely different things. In high school you are forcefed the thought of having to go to college to make it in life. So most people go with the hopes of bettering themselves. Turns out that was a lie. Starting a business is taking a calculated risk. Going to college to further your knowledge is way different than deciding to start a buisness.

Debt kills small businesses. You end up working to pay the bank instead of yourself. I've seen it happen too many times. Someone borrows to tide themselves over, then needs to borrow a little more because the payments are eating into their profit margin and before they know what is happening they are locked into a debt spiral.

When I started my business I had a hard and fast rule that the day my bank account went negative was the day I started job hunting. It came close at one point but nearly 20 years later I'm still in business with enough in the bank that I can consider retiring.
