Taking you back to the exciting realm of the World Wide Web in this original internet resolution promo that I have upscaled for 1080p, so you can enjoy all the rich detail of every vintage pixel! I originally made this promo for viewing at trade shows and for high speed internet download, and it was one of the first times I ever used non-linear video editing. A bygone era encapsulated in 60 seconds or so. Enjoy!

I know you don't want to hear about how this doesn't scale but this is exactly what we need in the USA. More people making their own circuits right here.
I think this is awesome because I'm currently working on a They Might Be Giants documentary, and they used some Frantone pedals on The Spine and Here Come The ABCs!
Very fun intro. Thank you Fran
Thee best effects! O))
Such a cool video
Awesome music!
Remember the TV advertisement: "Zenith – The quality goes in before the name goes on."
I was totally rocking out to that tune!
Love it!
Frantone eBow…yay or nay?
Hopefully you can get something started again. I'd love to have a new….. well, whatever you would come up with.
Timeless Fran!!
I don't play but saying I'm a fan of music and general sound is a serious understatement. I can pick out a handful of your pedals straight away and recommend them to everyone I know who do play. It would be awesome to see your adds everywhere these days!
After seeing the prom all I could think of is that you really should teach a class on how to develop manufacturing techniques for personal projects and prototypes. I mean like a semester to build your very own Frantone pedal from scratch.
Just love the oscilloscope displaying you turning the gain up and down… priceless. A Lissajous figure would have had me on the floor laughing. Classic B horror movie effect… thanks!
I'm nerding out over this
People forget that video editing used to be more or less a one way street, one carefully planned and placed step at a time: manually log hours of source footage. Make lists of your favorite shots. Plan it all out on paper. Queue Deck A to timecode X. Queue Deck B to timecode Y. Pre-roll Deck A. Pre-roll Deck B. Record. Stop. Rewind. Playback. Looks good. Queue Deck A to timecode X+ previous shot's duration. Repeat a few hundred times. What, you need to replace shot twelve that we edited in three days ago with another shot that's two seconds longer? Sh*t. And don't get me started on film editing!
I started watching your videos a couple months ago and it was a while before I knew you were the Fran in Frantone. Legendary.
This is so cool!
How much of your design/manufacturing process have you changed? Do you still use through hole and hand wire your pedals or are you using surface mount? Do you still etch your boards?
