First off, who gives a sh*t. Second, who gives a f**k.

Seriously, you're FAR better than the silly google searches by silly people, Fran. Let it be background noise. And if potential employers are bothered by these random searches, they're employers you DON'T want to work for.

No matter what people say about you, we all like and appreciate you. The issue is that people are ignorant of what the meaning of these gender labels are. But I'd definitely contact Google and try and remove that label. Why does Google need to even post sh*t like that?

Hey,Fran I have never thought of you as anything more that just human and one well worth knowing through your work on YouTube. Your sexual preferences are your business and what you wear as well. Slurs are not acceptable and Google needs to cut the crap. I do my searches with search engines that are not Google based and do not care for the Big Brother attitude of Google or YouTube whom act like they know best. Fran you rock!!!

The hardest part of being on the internet is how you get treated. I know you as "Fran". Too many people today want "labels". Honestly, I don't know why. I enjoy what you do, and appreciate all the interesting content you release. Don't take these things personally, it will eat at you. Just focus on being awesome, and making cool music. "hugs"

The companies that matter would overlook that BS. It sucks that the Google algorithm puts you in that light but all they have to do is see your channel and your work to know that you can do and have done a lot.

Nice how Google always wraps themselves in rainbows every June and trumpets how inclusive they are and how well they treat LGBTQ employees, but they don't tune their algorithms to not promote terms that are widely agreed to be offensive slurs.
    Really shows the priorities.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Paul Dipetro says:

Perhaps someone could write an algorithm that continually searches "Is Fran Blanche a Genius'' 24 hours a day continually until it becomes the most searched phrase and it instead pops up first ?

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars My Channel says:

You're right Fran, this is highly offensive. I wonder if you have any legal recourse against Google? It might be worth consulting a lawyer. You deserve compensation of some kind for this or at least an apology from Google and that particular search term should be removed. You could write an open letter to Google asking / telling them to cease and desist with the slanderous search results.

How about we do the same thing in reverse?.. How about all of us every day copy/paste the question "Is Pichai Sundararajan a transvestite? in the google search box" .. Between all the channels we subscribe to there could be a few million people a day asking that question.. the bots will pick it up… and lets see how fast they can manipulate it if it hurts their corporate image…I'm sure there are enough of us across the community to make that the number 1 hit for that particular person..I'm lucky I share my name with a rather famous author and another rather famous artist.. but it's a very common name..

I don't normally comment, but this is spectacularly uncool. Don't change what you wear. Don't change who you are. I am a recent subscriber, and I subscribed because you are a cool person, and your content is interesting. Please keep being awesome and F U K C google

Absolutely infuriating how a supposedly forward thinking mega conglomerate mindlessly perpetuates nonsense that has nothing to do with the incredible human being we are all here to learn from and support. Please keep being who YOU are. That is why we are here and precisely why we will ALWAYS be here for you.

You can click on the Feedback link under those "People also ask" results and report it. That also gives a link to make a legal removal request, but then it says in the fine print that "Google does not remove allegedly defamatory material from our search results." So the only things we can really do is submit feedback and search for other things about Fran to help drive the offensive one out of the list.

…. Not sure there is anything that can be done about the google results. Now it may add the transcript of this video as another hit on that same search.
I've been liking and using brave search, as I really don't like google for multiple reasons. But I don't know if this problem can be fixed, as it is a self perpetuating problem once the search shows it. I know in the old days, there were ways to hack the algorithm, but once it became sort of mainstream to do it (see the brian brushwood podcasts with Justin Robert Young for examples), google cracked down on it. Google prides itself in preventing people from contacting them for help too. 😔

It only takes one determined maniac to load Google searches.
20 years ago any search for information on thermocouples pulled up pages of links to one author's cross linked pages. The cross links were what brought the one source to the top of the lists.
The contents were about a conspiracy to hide free energy ( didn't believe that a thermocouple needed a cold junction ) and that the dinosaurs ruling Venus were wearing space suits covered in thermocouples for both cooling and power generation. It got crazier from there, but for several years that was the top Google search result for chromel, alumel, thermocouple. All because each of his pages used multiple references to his other pages, and google looked at how many pages reference the ones they list as a way of assessing their relative value.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hugh McVea says:

Dear Fran it's just a computer algorithm. And you are no way a joke, you are a valued human being, are well liked and people enjoy your videos. Please don't let such a thing get you down.
And by the way I can't believe you're 55, you look much younger.
