R.I.P. Fletcher. I loved her part as Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

I have Brainstorm on DVD. I wish the technology shown in that movie would finally exist.

I wonder if the wide vs worked with older "Auto Zoom" aspect ratio analog TV's 🤔

Trader Joe's is seriously failing to hide those dark chocolate peanut butter cups well enough. No matter where they hide them, I always find them.

'90's Illinois caps were known to have some issues, but even if they didn't, you're due to swap out the electrolytics on that thing, especially the bias cap. If it's a version with tube sockets mounted on a PCB, the solder joints and traces above the power tubes tend to crack and cause problems.

I love Brainstorm. It changed my perspective on possibilities after death. I didn’t know it at the time, but it opened my mind and changed me. I grew up in a fundamentalist religion that didn’t believe in the soul surviving the death of the body. That movie just wowed me. It was well done and the virtual brain machine concept was mind blowing. I am also a fan of Louise Fletcher. Thanks for mentioning her and Brainstorm. I didn’t know there were other fans of the movie. 👍

I must say I'm a little surprised there is so much enthusiasm for a movie that claims the POTS lines have enough bandwidth to carry those vivid images, and that the headset has, as Christopher Walken put it, "an op-amp across the top."

It says TCS&H on the scope. Why would the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Stablemen, and Helpers of America need a scope?

Brainstorm is one of my most favorite movies. From the first time I saw it as a kid, I really really wanted to experience what the technology in the film promises.
