This makes me think of that Chamber's Brothers song "Time".
This exactly the reason I named my music projects “Time Remaining”. A construct, a figment of our imagination and “reality” which is our personal “illusion” since another may view it as so when looking at ours. Once our perception seizes, so does our “time”.

What is meant by the expression "when time didn't yet exist" as often used in physics? Is it because time is a mathematical construct? Animals have no rational notion of time and neither did humans before time measurement devices arrived, so it is a artificial construct. 👀 🙄
Beautifully said! I have read Sagan and love his work, but for some reason this was the first time "we are the universe trying to look back at itself" has fully struck me. I had one of those moments where I feel both infinitely big and infinitely small..

I find Polish physicist Nikodem Poplawskis theory that every black hole is another universe to be quite interesting.
I've always found it fascinating that a photon, since it travels at the speed of light, doesn't experience time.

I really enjoyed listening to this. You have a great microphone Fran as your voice comes across as very smooth and easy to listen to.
I cannot understand why nobody has offered you a radio job. Your voice is wonderful and made for radio.
Probably time is a "final frontier" mankind have to overcoming to communicate with the entire universe. Günther Nimtz shows many years ago, that the transportation of information is possible "without time". I wish, there will be more research about that topic.
Think . How much of what there is to know do we know? I for one would guesstimate allmost nothing. Bronovski in his book The Ascent of Man demonstrates to us in a very simple way that allmost all of what we know now is wrong in part or wholely. With that in mind then assumptions using the comparitively little science we have and extrapilating that to the entire cosmos is hubris writ iarge. We have at thix stage of developement no true answers must questions . Look at the universe and wonder not at reason or purpose but get on collating enough understanding so we can at some time in the future hypothosize.
