every leap year has 366 days…fact!
Hi Fran, you wouldn't happen to have a Strowger switch that you can do a video on, would you? I fell down a rabbit hole starting with transistors, then going from there to Bell laboratories, and from there to the Strowger switch. I thought it'd be cool to see a video on something like that and figured if anyone had one, you would. But I've been wrong before
Hey Fran I’m not sure how to contact you but, I have an idea in the form of a question; what would happen if capacitors were added to the typical household power circuit? Would there be power savings, would it improve efficiency or possibly start fires? Can you try it out in your lab?
Apparently I don't actually look at the google home page, thus never noticed it. So thanks Fran for pointing out this little bit of fun for us to enjoy.
Merry Christmas to you and yours🎅🎄
Thank you 🙏 Stay safe. -Mike😷💉
Thank you for your card today here in Australia.
Cheers,
Simon Deards
Aw its cute!
It's been raining here in Europe for the last 3 days. And forecasted for the next 3 as well. Meuh
Still overcast and raining in Nottingham. May have better luck with the weather tomorrow.
And to think I'm seeing this a day late…
On first glance it looks like Jupiter and Saturn aren't observing good social distancing protocol. But then I realized they are. Instead of just the recommended 2 meters they're 730,000,000,000 meters apart. They're not high-fiving, it's actually a vacuum high-five. Who's heard of a vacuum high-five before? Usually I only see air high-fives.
And I just learned the high-five is more or less from the seventies. Who else didn't know it was that new?
cock a doodle doo!! Merry Christmas!!! Yohohoho
For those that couldn't see the conjunction in person, or just want another view, check out the livestream archives from the Lowell Observatory and McDonald Observatory YouTube pages. Lowell had some great talks, plus the audacity to show the conjunction live for 2 hours (interspersed with photos), and McDonald had a great program that included some info on past and future conjunctions plus a naked eye live view of the conjunction (which is hard to get right on camera).
Rain and cloud here so I could not observe it, but enjoying looking at conjunction photos on twitter etc
a once every 800 years event, cloud cover over most of USA, & NASA doesn't fire up Hubble to take some pics of this? are you kiddin' me?
The best part is the excited Earth! <3
Here in the UK, all conjunctions, eclipses etc are ruined by thick cloud. It's a British tradition.
It’s been overcast every night for over a month where I live. No conjunction for me.
blessed be )O(
