Contact TNT AMUSEMENTS for ARCADE CRT's
Did you ever get it figured out??
It kinda looks like your fly back may be blooming- it gets old it start to go very bright until it finally goes out. The solder lugs could also be cracked. A few years ago, I serviced the games at Disneyquest. The Fix it Felix jr machines had new monitors in them for Korea. They were all awful. We eventually put in flat screens as we found no one was selling CRTs anymore.
I had the Coleco toy version from 83.
I poked myself in the eye. I'm not even drunk. You look sorta like somebody I knew back in the early 80s when this game was hot shit. I subbed.
Definitely an electron beam issue there.
Try contacting TNT Amusements. They have their own YouTube channel and the owner has been in the arcade game business for decades. Since the early 1980's at least. He posts all of their contact information in all of their videos and they even have a video of a Zaxxon machine they refurbished for one of their customers. I'm sure they would be more than happy to help you out with your machine too. Good luck Fran, love your channel and wish you the best!
Did you get it fixed?
during the move, was it tilted horizontally at all?
I repair arcaded and pins,U need to adjust the color knobs on the neck board its bleeding,u moved the game and most likely have a cold solder joint etc
Don't know the tube type, but maybe the mask shifted. I have seen that corrected with a rubber hammer.
Don't know if it will help, but the ArcadeItalia website has scans of the original, very comprehensive, manual for Zaxxon. Complete with block diagrams, troubleshooting and circuit diagrams.
