But do not use solvents or harsh chemicals (particularly never bleach or oil) on any rubber parts. They can turn it into mush or solidify and crumble apart. Silicone oil is safe to most (non-silicone) rubber. Many rubber sorts survive isopropanol, but not all. I definitely would not spray random stuff like Windex on it.

Definitely a unique peice of history I’m assuming it was bought new in the 1980s witch wouldn’t Surprise me because that was an era Of mass production of oddball products that weren’t necessary practical for the average household more so then they were meant for as novelty gadgets
