Here is a confession..... everything that I have ever played on guitar is a rip off of Pete Townshend. Even when I am ripping off James Taylor I am really ripping off Taylor ripping off Townshend. It's true. I am but a lowly minion of the great one. So here is a spontaneous improvised piece in the style of Pete Townshend. Sort of. I hear Taylor in there too....

This wouldn't be at all out of place on one of the Scoop albums. Rock on, Fran!
Yep, moving the D-shape up the fretboard, sus-4 and sus-2 chords, the added C bass and such. Very "Townshend-esque". But still your composition. You are great!
My daughter & I saw THE WHO in concert in April, 2015 in Raleigh, NC.
It was WONDERFUL!
BTW, my daughter is named "Athena". Really.
nice
Newsflash: everyone does.
I Do hear Pete.. and James… but mostly i hear a very talented woman named Fran!
Where have you been all my life ??? <3
cool ๐
You're the best!
Honey, look into Pete Townshend's influences. I think you'll find guys like John Lee Hooker, Big Bill Broonzy, Howlin' Wolf and Elmore James. Even Pete had cats that he dug and "ripped off". BTW you aren't ripping off Pete or James or anybody else when you are letting them influence you and your music; you're just keeping their work alive and vital in a new way. Well done again miss Fran. Keep up the good work!
Great work Fran.
Dsus cant beat it ๐
You look happy in your new shop Fran!
