Ya gotta sit bolt upright in a straight back chair to listen to the Shaggs
Black Monk Time is a great album, Radio Birdman, X-Ray Spex, Can, Neau!, Vander Graf Generator, Wire, Raincoats, The Slits, If you like the Shaggs, try Attila first album with Billy Joel, it is very different from his later work. The Split Enz are a good band. I have heard all their albums once. I have heard at least 5K albums and counting.
Hey fran. Sorry for the out of the blue message but I've been trying to get my hands on some of your fran tone pedals and can't find them anywhere. Do you have some laying around you can sell me?
Split Enz…are one of a kind. Though I love all their songs, 2 stand out for me, Titus and Maybe. Noel Crombie the artistic genius behind the visuals and appearance of the band
Thank you Fran!
Thereโs just so many bands and so many singers/song writers/musicians. You could ask anyone involved in music you know to list some of their favorite bands especially those โnot on the radarโ and you will always get a new list of bands and people youโve never heard of before from all different regions. Thereโs literally not enough time or energy to check them all out. Like it literally freaks me out!!! Iโm still catching up on genres iโve been into since forever and thereโs always new bands and material. It never ends….And you have to find time for your regular faves in the rotation as well. Itโs a freaking disease I tell you!!! Letโs not even talk about how you choose to listen to it. Vinyl, cd, cassette, digital. Iโm a physical media guy myself who loves vinyl records but iโm extremely nostalgic for cassettes and have been predominantly buying and listening to them the last couple years. Plus Iโve been getting into cdโs again too. You ever want to own all your favorite music and listen to new stuff on 3 different types of physical media???Lord god have mercy on our souls for this evil sin called music.
Music is my reminder that humanity is worth helping.
Interesting music. I love VU, yes. Lou Reedโs solo work I like alot, too.
Jen Trynin, I like it.
Love that you love Split Enz, exponents of my county (New Zealand / Aotearoa's ) finest weirdness. Some may be interested to know that Neil Finn who went on to found the beatlesesque Crowded house and in recent years play with Fleetwood Mac, started with his brother Tim in Split Enz.
Hooray for the Creatures!
To everybody: ANYBODY that gives you their favorite #1 playlist & it doesn't include ANY African Americans…TRASH IT.
