Incredible lab. So amazing that you Moved all that stuff!!
You gotta film your weeks worth of videos every Sunday
would it be helpful if we went and watched the old videos again?
Thanks for this insight Fran. I started a channel about a month ago and it took off immediately but when I took on a full-time job and couldn’t produce regularly I wondered why my viewership came to a crawl. This makes sense.
I realy like your LAB
I'm old and set in my ways, I scan the list of my subs at least once per day. When I see a black dot next to one, I click on it. Notification? Like I need another thing to watch and listen for.
Now it's time for the landlord to decide she's gotta move again
Youtube is …problematic but why are you patrons leaving after 2 weeks?
notifications don't work? my phone would disagree.
A couple of things. First, when you are subscribed to a channel on YouTube and have clicked the bell, when you open your list of subscriptions on YouTube, there will be a dot on each channel that has issued new videos since the last time you visited. Granted it isn't the same as getting an email for same, which YouTube announced that they were discontinuing some time back because some whiny users didn't like getting the emails. Second, I've been subscribed to and have watched a great number of your videos over the past several years. At the risk of seeming unkind, I'm not sure how popular film reels from the 50's and 60's converted to video content for YouTube is a successful formula. At age 73, I lived through most of what those videos cover and as a general rule, don't watch them. I've considered doing a Patreon subscription for you but the content of the last several months just hasn't been compelling. In any case, keep up the work.
Notification bell does work but the subscriber needs to set it to All as it defaults to Personalised. With the latter you don't see a notification for every video.
Make sure to ask subscribers to set the bell option to All
Lab Envy is real.
Love the last bit after the credit roll. Cheers!!!
Notifications work about 80% of the time for me. The main problem is the Android app only shows the most recent 4. I'm not sure why they aren't working for others.
It took me years to discover the 'notification' tab (home page, top line, left of the search icon) and that helps me catch those that go missing.
I have to wonder if the film scan videos are the thing that's damaging your channel. IIRC they are being frequently copyright stuck, which means no monestisation, which might mean your channel doesn't get prioritised in the algorithm, or worse actively demoted?
why dont you also upload to odysee for more covarage
