I see somebody selling a "Frantone Peachfuzz" on Reverb – obviously a knock-off, but the listing title makes it look like an official Frantone product. I know knock-offs are common, but it seems like a brazen bit of identity theft on their part, listing it like it's official somehow. Made in Singapore? Not cool.
really interesting device
Hi – the pins on the back of that are "wire-wrap" – used at lot at the time that these were made.
Miss the lab keep well
Dual filiment 3D print anyone?
Insane how far we've come, and how much engineering went into it all.
What type of "tech" are these from, what era? I may have missed that from the 1st video.
Very cool Fran. Thank you. I love your channel.
it does kind of cycle like the Predator 1 self-destruct countdown displays, except those have 10 segments, I wonder if the prop people ever documented how that was done
Please put the fiber op assembly on upside down. Since the LEDs position is unrelated to the segment position, when inverted it would show oddball characters.
Checking all these display technologies in a low-light scenario might satisfy those commenters as well as myself!
Cool
Cool!
Good Stuff Fran 😊🤝
Brilliant !!!
Good stuff!
Thanks, Fran!
