This 16mm print from my collection is one of those Coronet films made for junior high school kids. Pretty much just magenta left, but I have done my best on this one! As usual I transferred this reel with my own Telecine and corrected color to taste. Enjoy!

Billy better put some sun screen on those ears.
LOL! What a cheesy audio loop of the helicopter sound! And that was the quickest take-off in history. Still, I'm sure that in its day, it inspired many a kid to want to reach for the sky. Great resto., Fran – THANKS!
Production quality vastly exceeded my 9-year-old youtubers!😅
Bell 47 is such a beauty
"Right there, Billy, is where we mount the tank for the DDT sprayer."😂
'Tune in next week, when Billy learns about autorotations and the importance of clean underwear!'
My university experience included a single metallurgy class. After learning a little (perhaps too little) about the subject, I have not been particularly fond of the idea of flying in helicopters.
I feel sorry for boomers who had to grow up looking like they're in the military. Guess they didn't mind and/or made up for it in the late 60s.
Thank You!! B)
The Bat Copter comes to mind….
when I was a teen back in the 70's I got to ride in a helicopter to Coronado Island.
but the scary part was there were no doors. but once I realized I would not fall out,
it was really fun. 😃
I love these old films. As one of the last generation to actually have used filmstrips and slide projectors in school it brings back warm, if fuzzy, memories. My kids are homeschooled so all the educational stuff I can get my hands on is golden. Thanks so much Fran!
OMG..
It calls to mind those classic Kentucky Fried Movie/The Groove Tube parody sketches.
Could you imagine the field day they would have with this lost gem? Thanks for sharing Fran.
The sprayer segment was probably malathion. Urban areas in so cal were subject to nighttime malathion spraying during the 60’s and early 70’s Orange County had plenty of orchards and homes with fruit trees. BTW did Billy get a barf bag? 😮
Ah, the color of childhood.
Oh noes! I've seen Billy's Balloon. This doesn't end well.
Muito legal os seus filmes. Também, gosto dos conteúdos de eletrônicas. 😊😊😊
Takes me back to Whirlybirds in the 50s and, later, M*A*S*H.
