I'd like to know if it's all about the particles count, I'm not sure the particles from a big chemical plan have the same toxicity as the ones from a wild fire or even a BBQ. I'm more in concern with the badly named "particle filters" used in car as they are not "filters" but "breakers". They only split big particle that are able to darken a clothe put at the exhaust or made you blow your nose "dark" into smaller ones that can't be filtered by you nose and go deeply into your lungs so small that they can go straight into your blood.

We had a big forest fire (compared to your scale it was negligend) and it smoked up half of the country. I woke up at 4 o clock in the morning thinking what fuckwit decided to burn plastic garbage, while my IKEA air cleaner was whirring to the max.
