Dave Haynie talks at VCF East on April 6, 2014 about developing the various Amiga systems, up into the last days of Commodore in April 1994. Introduction by Bil Herd. This was a fascinating hour of must-hear stories for any serious Commodore fan. Dave even wears his Commodore Death-Bed Vigil shirt! Wow - 20 years ago.... Where did the time go? Enjoy!

Great talk. Thanks Dave!
The unanswered question that I never see a reply to is what happened to the AAA work that was done – it must have been based on a HDL by that time but the files have not seen the light of day AFAIK.
I wish this guy would have defined his terms before he spews out streams of buzzwords and model numbers like we're all supposed to know WTF he's talking about. WTF is a 256 pack of a c-128 with a T80 going full speed and a Commodore 900 and T8000. This is a terrible speaker.
One thing I cannot understand is Dave's dislike for the A4000. I first had an A1200 and rather soon hated it like hell, because of overheating expansions and even expansions shorting as they touched because of the plasticcy, thigh case. I was so happy when I finally had the A4000 and could use real CPU cards, real graphics cards and real LAN-adapters, without all the fear of something not working again, because the computer stood at the wring angle and some expansion had come lose or even shorted out.
this guy didnt help invent the amiga tho… he only came in around the 2000 era right? not really a 'father of the amiga' then
No way! Dave and Bil are heros of mine, didn't expect to see this on your channel though, Fran!
This guy is a god.
Wow Dave Haynie!!! I'm not worthy… ๐ To bad Jay Miner isn't with us more. ๐
I remember seeing the Commodore 900 in the eponymous magazine back in the day. I had heard that Jack and his team took stuff with them from C= to Atari. Didn't know it was the Z8000 project. Well, at least the 900 case design got reused for the A2000. (Not my favorite case design ๐
Wow I clicked this and had no idea the lovely FRAN had uploaded it! ๐
