Do you have the energy for success? No? Well, Ted Turner makes an appearance in this 16mm reel from my collection, where he shows us how awesome he is at sailing and wearing large ties. Others throw in on how they succeed too. As usual I transferred this reel with my own Telecine and corrected for the missing cyan layer. Enjoy!

It seems kind of funny to listen to these people talk about energy and yet there are no blue collar, physical labour people in it. Intellectual energy is far different than physical.
I wanted to watch all of this, but I just didn't have the energy.
The flute player reminds me of Joni Mitchell.
The jogger/salesman/wannabe-writer annoys the crap out of me. I worked in retail sales for a number of years and that guy exemplifies the very worst of the people that I worked with. The guy is probably dead now and I'll bet that at his funeral the only thing anybody remembered about him was that he worked constantly and he could sell ice to the Inuit and Inupiak. I bet he never stopped to smell the roses either. BTW, I'm not really a fan of joggers either, encountering them frequently when I walk my dogs on the local trails: the runners seldom acknowledge you or say hello or make eye contact as they pass, and they never stop to meet the dogs either (who would absolutely love to make a new friend). A lot of the bicyclists are the same way —- they'll come zooming up behind us at high-speed, without calling out or ringing a bell, and I don't even hear them over the sound of my big feet and the dog's paws going crunch-crunch on gravel and leaves. I'd pull off to the side of the trail little and give the bikers more room to pass us if I knew they were coming….. but many of them are so wrapped up in their exercise regimen that they don't even seem to notice what's going on around them.
It ain't making depression go away anytime soon. There's never enough energy, but there can be a different thing: determination. The will to still Keri on against all odds, no matter how thinly spread, still moving forward.
Nicely restored! Thanks for sharing 🙂
I find folks just suck the energy out of me. But yeah great content
would never have thought albert schwitzer would be referenced here.
