FranLab In ZERO-G:
https://www.gofundme.com/f/suborbital-franlab
The time has come for Fran to go Suborbital! I have gone deep into my savings to make my top bucket list dream a reality this year - a ride aboard the G-Force One - a modified Boeing 727 that creates weightlessness by flying parabolic arcs. I will be spending about 5 minutes in Zero Gravity and also getting to walk around and do experiments in Lunar and Martian gravity as well. It is by far the most costly thing I have ever undertaken, so I have set up this GoFundMe campaign to allow my viewers to ease the painful part of this amazing journey -
And I am going to share it all with you through some amazing videos on my YouTube Channel! Yes - the vast expense of this project includes professional camerawork with a trained flight video crew, so this adventure will be something that I hope we all can enjoy equally.

So exciting! I'm sure you will have a 'blast' up there. Like the track a lot, thanks for sharing that. To me it had a slight Hawkwind vibe… took me right back to the 80's.

During my time in high school, I had a friend who worked at an airport. My friend, myself, and one other person would skip school and go flying, splitting the cost of the plane rental. My friend would get one of his fellow employees to pilot the plane on their day off at not cost, because they could lop hours. On a few trips, we flew parabolas and experienced weightlessness. Naturally, we couldn't float around the cockpit of a small Cessna, but we could see objects float out of our hands. I once tossed my sunglasses to my friend in the front seat and watched them slowly float over to him in a very irregular parabola. My friend told me that he once was holding a can of oil on the flat of his palm, and it floated up and off his hand. Have fun on your Zero G adventure. I'm sure it will be way more intense and exciting than what I experienced.

Fran, you crack me up at times! I really enjoy your very interesting videos and the wide topics that you enlighten us luddites on! Keep up the great job you do.

HEY, SOMEONE FROM WPVI DT- 6's "FYI PHILLY", THIS WOULD BE A DAMN INTERESTING STORY TO COVER!!

Fran, I'd definitely consider visiting a person with 'prescriptive authority' to see if Compazine would help defend against the 'upside-down emptying of your stomach contents' – during your flight. Your 'zero-G' adventure far exceeds the 'bucket list coolness ratings' of any of the twenty-some lists which I've been privy to. I'm certain that your mind's-eye will be kept busy reliving the event for at least the next several years.

Always thought Fran was a total Space Cadet ๐Ÿ˜‰

Very impressed with the replica Apollo hatch, btw. That's an amazing achievement to have that in the Smithsonian. I've always been fascinated with the incredible engineering that goes into space travel a reality – particularly the engineering that went into making Saturn V and the Apollo 11 Lunar mission a reality, and it infuriates me no end that so many people believe it was faked, because it belittles all the amazing work that so many men and women put into making getting Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins to the Moon and back.

Anyway – have an amazing flight in Zero G. I can't begin to imagine how excited you must be.

I watch a lot but I usually donโ€™t comment . Holy Cool for you ! Remember they call it vomit comet eat light.
You are going for the float of your life. Canโ€™t wait to see it. Lake Shasta California cheering you on ๐Ÿ›ซ โœˆ๏ธ
Cool band. Rock and roll it !

Bring your ZZ Top Fuzzy guitar! (For safety). Jammin' in Zero Gravity!!
(I would guess you can't bring things like that, with you, but what
    about the camera crew?!)

You are a lucky lady – enjoy your time in space.

I've donated what I can afford, if I were a billionaire I would pay for your entire trip, I've always believed that I was supposed to be a billionaire, but probably got switched at birth.

I was once weightless for a few seconds, unplanned, due to severe turbulence, aboard a Lufthansa Fokker 50 about midway between BHX and CGN.

I'm going to make you a lead, First project when my wiring kit comes – . A mega-shielded 3.5 6.3 RCA connector, all ends all ways. Shielded up to the nines.

I love your band demo at the end, Fran. Has some NWOBHM elements to it. I was in various bands back then as well. It was lots of fun and I really miss it.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars R.A. Monigold says:

Congratulations on becoming a BILLIONAIRE – It doesn't matter how you became one (there is tough completion for being a jerk – so you missed that). What's important – you get to go to "space". And Space is defined by my highest jump on the neighbor's trampoline – so Space is where you'll be. It will be on the 29th when "my" Eagle flies and my small donation arrives. But that's a BIG slice out of my budget – no beer for a MONTH, so you can Float inside a plane. All I want is for you to please have FUN.
