Pace yourself - this is a "full feature length" FranLab! If you want to skip right to the comparison of the photos got to 51:04 . I'm going deep into these cameras for a total shootout comparing all features inside and out. And soldering! How could I get into soldering in a video all about cameras? And taking and developing photos! So much to see and do - So FranLab. Enjoy!

I had a land camera that used the old steel wool flashbulbs. I loved that camera, you could take multiple exposures if you wanted to.
I just bought a land 250 only to find out that the Fuji film has been discontinued and prices are rising. Is there any other instant camera I could buy with the same quality as the land and reasonably priced film available?
Hope your move works out ok
Impressed that you moved the digital images almost convincingly with your finger
I had one of the instant cameras made by polaroid a much more modern version of the land camera, but the film was similar you had to part it and wait , then the one came out were the film just came out of the front and was already developing , my sister had one of those. I loved the instant pictures it was like magic when we had been used to taking your roll of film too the chemist , waiting for like a week while they developed it and finding out most of your shot were rubbish ! Digital camera's are good but you don't get a physical picture , yes you can print them but ill never forget the feeling of it being almost magic with the instant cameras , i am sure you know what i mean Fran.
I really love your videos , thanks so much for being you. ๐
I would like to see a comparison between the land camera and a hasselblad 501c with a Polaroid back
what camera did the astronauts use for the moon landing? could you get one or make a replica?
A photographer once told me that lower ASA film will always have better color.
If you can get your hands on an SX70 that would be cool to compare too! They are interesting cameras too
I don't like Fuji's knock off of Polaroid square format. I appreciate much more the people of the Impossible Project now Polaroid Originals that recreated the real deal.
Everytime I see an article like this, I drag out my old Polaroid SX-70 Sonar and try and find a quality film solution. The SX-70 , as were the later Polaroid Land cameras were advanced and high quality compare to the competition they were against.
Well I just completed my futile search again and didn't see a film solution that even was close to matching the original SX-70 film I wish I had hung on to my 1960's Land cameras because there is still a limited amount of usable film. Guess I'll just continue to pine for those Good Ole Polaroid days. Thanks for the memories.
Can you demonstrate whether the negatives can be treated to be useful for anything?
My experience with color Polaroids – there's always a washed-out yellow tinge to them.
Update: Oops! I meant SX-70.
Can I patreon the cost per KWh for your film fridge?
