I have never felt I needed pencils…until now. And in my favorite glowie green color! Don't ya just hate it when the glow fades? There is a glow pigment I just found out about, called LIT. It's supposed to be the "glowiest" on the planet. It's pretty good stuff. Has to be mixed with a clear gesso medium, as it is a powder.
Check it out if you get the chance. I built a Batman bat symbol wall shelf for a friend, with a rising moon behind the symbol, and painted the moon a pale yellow, with light gray craters, and painted the moon with LIT, which dries almost transparent. Made a great image when the lights go out.

The Blackwing is vastly overrated. Don’t buy into the hype.
There are much better pencils out there for reasonable prices.

I got a box of black-wings a year or two ago. They are quite good. But, the Staedtler Norica is still my favorite. I just prefer the very black line and a little feedback. The blackwings are just too smooth for me.

Fran – I'm a 62-year-old retired aerospace electronics engineer that grew up wanting to be in broadcasting and wound up doing broadcast engineering. I specialized in audio processing for radio stations and knew many of the pioneers in the field. I've been following you since your early days when you were being attacked for just being you. I love what you do and it would be fun to chat sometime and exchange stories. Good luck with your youtube channel. If you are interested in hearing some of the early stories of radio and the way we fought to sound louder, but cleaner than the station next door (lol, in the AM days of clear-channel radio), I'd love to tell you. It might provide you with a few video ideas. I'd also love to hear more about how you got into your nitch. I'm impressed.
