FranLab Lunar Sample No.001! Yes, it is my very own Moon Rock - as real and genuine as any that were so carefully plucked from the Lunar surface by Apollo Astronauts - but this one arrived on Earth in a much more random and dirty way. But hey.. I'll take it!

That is past cool…I had no idea there are dealers in Moon and Mars rocks.
The Banana Scale for measuring radiation….that might have a use.

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Alasdair says:

    Diamonds are just rocks too..
fran, you should hang that rock from the ceiling right above your desk, that way you only ever get to see one side of it…

The Olivine is actually Kryptonite. Our organisation headed by Lex Luthor are not fooled.
You should have a tiny case for the rock with a glass dome so you can see it and it will keep it from disappearing. I am going to start collecting meteorites starting with smaller ones but I really want a big one that has been cut into a slice with jems in it. I saw a big piece with light passing through it, cut and polished and it looked so pretty and desirable.

God knows how many times we found a small rock and threw it to something without knowing that one of them could be a piece of a meteotie.
Is that a real moon rock ? You're not wearing gloves. Nevermind.

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Clive Mattinson says:

Most rocks don't have paperwork! …… Why, just the other day, I asked a rock to produce its documents, and ……. NOTHING! ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ˜‚

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daniel Olbris says:

Brecciated meteorites have an additional cool factor due to the fact that they can only come from bodies large enough to have geological processes.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MrB976 says:

Got to touch a moon rock that was returned from the moon in one of the children's museums. Was under heavy plex glass with a small hole to allow your finger to touch it, barely

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Greg Varner says:

That rock must have had one hell of a ride getting back to the planet it was initially blown off of. Or is it part of the "proto planet" that smacked the early earth. No one knows…

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Erik Thorsen says:

It is not hard for me to believe that a government that wasn't smart enough to safely archive the actual recording of the first moon landing could end up with missing moon rocks.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars huckfin 1 says:

You make it sound like the Moon was made by accident, "the moon was created" and placed at the perfect distance without it we do not exist. Who taught you another rock ?

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Name_iT says:

Dear Fran, is it possible to switch on the CC for subtitles? Some of the words I have difficulties to pick up, because of your accent. British english here.
    Thank you. ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ryan Gibbons says:

There is a little bit more intention than that! We are star stuff+, information, love and paperwork. Thanks, this is far from random.
