Is it plain old naked discrimination for small channels, bias by the bots, or punishment for those still refusing to drink the google coolaid? No one outside of YouTube corporate headquarters can really know... but there's something happening here.

YouTube is going to monitize popular vidoes regardless if you are a "partner" or not. You could try monitizing some videos then see if they start getting suggested by YouTube again?
I've been playing your vids at 1.5 speed. Ther is no doubt that YouTube manipulates the data in order to minimize their payout to creators. But sometimes if you change your content radically from what you had been publishing, the algorithm no longer suggests your (new) videos to your old subscribers. For example if you did a lot of electronics vids and then switched to doing Music videos, the algorithm would no longer suggest music videos to electronics fans.
i was looking for a particular subject…. giger counters …. i found you. i did hear they youtube are removing many channels that do not make any sort of money for them. my 10 year old chihuahua page is working and i do not visit or make new videos for over 10 years now. so 2018 to 2021 i know your alive and kicking. but i have not seen the lionel train town from oldest videos posted up to this point. please make another video of the train. and more of the guiger counter (the banana is radioactive only in the skin and specialy on the dark spots. And i know hair color is bad, but you look better with jet black hair. Best wishes again from Puerto Rico. 🙂
Soooo many comments! Let me condense the major threads you are posting:
1) A great many FranLab subscribers have not gotten notifications of my new videos for months.
2) Many subscribers have discovered they were automatically unsubbed by YouTube without their knowledge.
3) Mysteriously, THIS video is trending.
4) Channels that receive support from Patreon but not Google ads are being ghosted out of recommendations on YouTube.
5) My fellow content creators overwhelmingly suggest that monetization may now be a requirement for participation on the platform.
