Happy Demolition Day Everybody! I had planned to move out before the demolition of my building began, but here they moved up the demolition 30 days and gave me notice yesterday afternoon that it would begin this morning, so I scrambled for a solution to the air contamination problem. I show a practical and seemingly successful way of filtering out air pollution from your home or apartment. At least, it seems to be working in mine! Enjoy!

Oh geez the amount of asbestos residues existing all around that place. Horrible danger. I know I'm just being redundant as I have seen all the remarks,but still , it is a horrible situation.
My dads friend died from lung tumors caused by breathing all sorts of junk when he worked in maintenance at a aluminum making plant.

That pollution of pre-filter is WORSE than my 6+ year old filter's total and yours had all that pollution less than a month!!! Wow!
hey Fran. I do the same thing at my office in West Oakland. Only now I realized that by taking air from outside you are risking it coming in if there are any failures in the system. I decided after this last week of smoke outside that would change this system around to recycle the air in the office only. I use carbon filters from Amazon in a similar config to what you have. I run a blue air unit in the office also. keep that shit out. it is toxic. scrub the air cause that's what nasa does.
Why are you letting yourself be walked all over? You are in a very powerful position. You should be able to get the demolition stopped immediately, have the building tested and if asbestos is detected it would cost the new owners a fortune. They should buy out your lease and pay all expenses. Have you told the workmen about the asbestos? I do not understand why you are doing next to nothing. 1 days exposure to airborne asbestos is 30+ years off your life.

there is a lawsuit regardless,she is due damages as we speak/watch as far as I can tell, just because she is able to filter the stuff as well as she has , she shouldn't have to . . . . .seems like a wrap to me especially since they started early and gave such a ridiculous notice,that is not a notice, it is a threat . .
