From what I've noticed 1 in about 10 musicians is female. Maybe women just aren't interested in music as much as men?

Fran, I don't get on YouTube all that often, as I work in a totally different area ( biomedical), but I've been a ham radio op since jr high school am 62 now). But I've been a science geek all my life, and I get a lot of great geek and science fix from you. I also get a part of my hope for humanity from you. I've seen the issues of concern here in my field also, and just about anywhere else, I don't know all the answers and I dont think they will be completely resolved in my lifetime. But resolution of many cultural wrongs starts by people's bringing the issue out in the open, and with even more courage, commitment, time (personal investment by more and more) it slowly is recognized for its reality and may over time -gain momentum and maybe, just maybe, starts eroding. It is always painful, energy sinking, time consuming, etc. to varying degrees (resistance) but never advances without contribution( some beta like the gain of a transistor). Continue to be a transistor- you never know what electrons are out there that you may provide amplification for. Dr Dave

+Fran Blanche, Thank you for your wonderful videos. Men can be such jerks, especially how they get offended so easily. However you my dear are a wonderfully cool example of a brainiac from the planet smartron just wanting to share knowledge 🙂

A manly man speaking here. Keep going. I watched the other video, and came here to watch this one as well. Thumbs up! You speak well enough that if people cant understand that youre a person worth knowing, or working with, thats their problem, not yours. That goes for everyone. Do what you do for you.

Thank you. Stay strong, and do the things that make you feel good. As I noted in my other comment, on your other vid, you've been such a positive influence on me, and friends of mine.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Scorca says:

Big thumbs up to you and your courage to stand up against what is wrong, and standing up for what is fair and right. I don't understand what's behind the negative comments, though I do notice they lack something important… intelligence. If someone has an opposing point of view then at least post some sensible reasons.

    Again… thumbs up Ms. Fran.

I made a similar comment in the video you posted after this, Fran. I'll say it again.

As a man I acknowledge the world is skewed towards my benefit. I believe it to be unfair. Knowing so, I notice the disparities and act in a way as not to further this sexism. I also speak with other men about this inequality and let them know it is not okay.

When I was a young kid at School in the 80s here in UK I could never understand when people said Woman could never do certain jobs as I saw Women then and still do as Same equally as good and capable as Men, and we had a Woman Prime Minister then as we do Today which is like ultimate symbol of achievement in my mind if Woman can make it as Prime Minister Women can do anything they set there Heart on same as any man or Trans Women, just do not let anyone try drag or put you down need to end Discrimination World Wide and equal pay for everyone no matter what there Gender,Sexual orientation,Race,Religion or Disability.
