I like these casts. Makes me feel less alone in with my problems. It's so easy to do even if we are 8 billion…. With this big number, You meet a lot of people who experienced the same things. Even if you think that you can't possibly be more different, you have a lot in common.

    F n cool Fran.

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Greg Nina says:

I'd go a step further, plant the opportunities and harvest.

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Richard Litwin says:

I read that someone heard that Opportunity was dead. Then someone answered, No, he's alive.

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Eddie Fe says:

To contextualise, the things you never do can never go wrong, so the idea of missing, seizing or indeed opportunity itself exists only in the non-realm. The ā€˜realā€™ is only experienced in the actual.

Not bad. My personal constructive criticism would be this; I would like more detail. Examples and so forth. You must have some good stories from trying to sell the Frantone. But I am glad to see you do this as some of my favorite content by some creators are their rants. Frants is a cute name for it.
Secondly, the repeated talk of doom makes you sound very much like a candidate for the GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder). Please look into it. Like you I am in my last 3rd of life and we all feel some doom by the fact that death is even closer and heading our way. So that's natural to think about from time to time but your mind seems unusually focused on it.

Good to hear that the Mugs have been a success for you, trying any of these things is always a risk, but with a large subscriber numbers you can be as sure as you can that the demand will be there. Sadly the shipping and import tax makes them too expensive for buyers outside the USA. Good luck with your next one.šŸ˜Š

Seizing opportunity can be paralyzing if it required letting go of security.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Evan Hildreth says:

Opportunity is a Catch-22. When we're young, we can take the risks involved with pursueing opportunities but we lack the skills and experience necessary to succeed at those opportunities. When we're older, we have the skills and experiences to succeed at opportunities, but can no longer take the risks (especially if we have kids, mortgages, etc).

Courage is not the absence of fear. Itā€™s doing what needs to be done despite the fear. If we have time, we must think through how to mitigate the risk, but everyone deals with fears. Iā€™m retired military and had to learn early on how to manage fear in myself and with others. Even in the civilian world, Iā€™ve seen so many company meeting attendees too afraid to bring up important points because of fear. One of the best books Iā€™ve read on helping manage fear is ā€œMen Against Fireā€ by SLA Marshall. He wrote that book at the end of WWII after observing how crippling fear prevented soldiers from doing what they need to do. He used that research to help improve training and techniques that were important. It used to be required reading in the US Marine Corps. Those lessons can be applied to mitigating fear in organizations.
