The title of this very faded 16mm film could be "How To Make Shitty Art" or perhaps more aptly, "How To Make Authentic 1960's Star Trek Scenery". Filmed during the height of the colored plaster and wire frame Picasso sculpture craze of the late 1950's, this film may have lost its color, but retains all of its weirdness. Enjoy!

Was this filmed at a remedial student centre ?
Hi Fran. Interesting video. I guess we were spoiled, we had lumps of soapstone to "sculpt"! I wonder how far into the '60's those plaster masterpieces decorated parents shelves?
The third film today. You are out doing yourself.
Explaining engineers how to perform the skill of art production
Thanks, Fran. I enjoyed this a lot. Wondering if subtracting blue (or perhaps magenta) would improve color.
I wonder how many of those "masterpieces" have rotted away in landfill sites.
I hope they have this as an activity at the asylum…
I wonder if sny of the pieces were kept snd if any of the students went on to become artists as a career…
"normal University" a true Oxymoron! Or maybe I.
Wow fantastic piece of film you acquired I hope you're doing your best to store it archivalry but I would expect you are 🙂
The piano music feels wrong here. No actually,it's annoying. Fran, hit it!😋
With the death of newspapers art has suffered. 😢
Hmmm. art for non-artists… reminds me of college classes like "Physics for Poets".
