Part six is getting down to the hard parts as I make the tools that I will use to finish the various operations on the parts. This is officially the transition point between modern and traditional methods as I go over to completing the latch by hand. Enjoy!

Good Looking Biceps Fran ! Love to have an Armwrestle with you ๐ช๐ช
Just discovered your channel. Thumbs Up !!
This video has been the best by far. I love the detail you went into describing your process. My only wish is that you had done more time lapses of the process taking place as you did the explanations. I ended up skipping through most of the other videos.
i get it.. its hard…maby shorten the series to one video? just sayin…
You are one of a kind Fran, thanks for letting us in on your noodling.
Wow! Cool! I'm seeing others involved with Project Egress posting stuff on this media. Some amount of thought and practice going on there, and some. Nice. All the best Fran !:^)
[Edit: Punctuation correction.]
Awesome project.
Peers….is that a Model M I see? ๐
whhooa that is so cool ,, take your time .. don't what to brake .. Not cool .. Richard Proenneke would be impresses ๐
"We started with CNC, and ended up with centuries old carpentry and clock-making techniques"
It is clear from your demeanour and skill and confidence in all of these domains that this can be translated as, "I've been having the most tremendous fun!"
Great to see.
Looking good so far !๐
Cool stuff, Fran! Glad to see you 'back on track'. ๐
That is not an amazingly complicated clamp setup for your drilling, you need to watch more machinist videos…..
