Lets see, state sales tax, local sales tax, state income tax, local income tax, high crime rate, a murder rate in the top 10, yep, time to move. Maybe have a look at Pittsburgh or a smaller community in P.A? Or maybe move to a neighboring state, Tennessee was suggested, but there is also West Virginia?

The NEED to have THREE FACTOR LOGINS.
For example…
1. A userID like 98761234
2. A 3 or 4 random letters out of a password you have set
3. A response to a random question out of three options you set, eg..

That is a similar system my bank uses and it is very robust as my account came under attack and it was secure.
So patreon need to have this, the user ID should only be visible and known to you, from login you can be referred to by your email address. There is no reason why patreon can not implement this in 30 days or less.
I've been self-employed for 30 years and have not had issues buying a house, renting an office and eventually buying a $600k building. But I did prepare 5 years of proper books showing my Profit vs. Loss or P&L statements. You do not have go the route of us (filthy workers) vs. them (rich property owners). Speak in their language, they are protecting their investment and want comfort that you can pay and do not become a squatter. Not trying to beat you down but I do want to see you succeed and thrive. Fran why can't you ask for donations via PayPal? Bypass Patreon. I listen to a podcast that takes all donations via PayPal and cheques etc. Go old school low tech 🙂 People still can send you $ to show the appreciation for your valued content. This podcast I listen to have been successfully taking donations for over 8 years on PayPal.
