This 16mm print from my collection is one of those in the famous Mr. Bungle age of Coronet films. As usual I transferred this reel with my own Telecine and corrected color to taste. Enjoy!

You've got to watch that Arnold guy…. He's a wrong'un ๐
You just can't go wrong if it's a Cornet film. Yes this is what were. Shows the evolution and de evolution of life as we perceive in day to day life in samsara. Thank you Fran
Bobby is a loser because he follows every arbitrary rule. Don't be like Bobby. Jump off the swings like a champ and do a backflip!
Now speed forward almost 50 years: Kids walk in the middle of the street and flip you off. No parents at home and no supervision. You can't leave kids to play anymore without supervision for fear they will get snatched or get into trouble. Discarded needles at the playground.
In the 1950's before my sister in law was born, her brother, aged about 6, was killed at an unsecured construction site near their house. Workmen had left the bucket on a backhoe raised and another kid was playing on it and pulled a lever, dropping the bucket and crushing the child.
I think the only rule was dont throw rocks at each other๐๐๐
Another great little movie, from what seems, a more polite, kinder, innocent ๐ time.
I need my rose tinted specs adjusted…๐ค
Growing up in SA, 60's & 70's we did much the same things, rode in similar cars and wore similar clothes.
Played in the mud
Built dams in rivers
Climbed trees
Built tree houses
Rode our bikes for hours
Any scratches & cuts, and there were plenty, were flushed with TCP (an all purpose disinfectant) and plenty of spit washing.
Of course we'd fret about 'stranger danger'
We'd collect empty bottles for the deposits (everything seemed to be 5 cents?) and live like kings for an hour.
We drank Kool-Aid by the jug and ate a regular supply of boiled sweets & toffees, but never seemed to have problems with our teeth.
Yup, yada, yada, yada…๐
Oh yeah and burgers & pizza were a treat. Maybe 2 or 3 times a year, not actually part of our diets.
The end.
Rude violation of those little kids rights to be stupid.
All the wonderful cars ๐
Applies mecurochrome to skinned knee
Brings back memories of watching similar films in grade school, way back when.
Also fun to play "car spotter" with films like this. Some great classic cars on here.
Good safety vedio it suitable nowadays. Sri Lanka police did that kind street drama in my school time how cross road like that .
Would kids that age be allowed so much freedom these days? I don't think so.
I remember watching these when I first started school in 1968. The first one I saw was "Lunchroom Manners", where the kid watched a puppet show in school, and didn't want to be a "Mister Bungle" and be rude to the other kids.
You must have an impressive film library..thanks for sharing them. I think I saw this film in elementary school,,,
