Another great 16mm reel from my collection, this one is an edition of the NASA Aeronautics and Space Report that shows come cool computer analysis of solar observations and an experimental supersonic wing design. As always I transferred this film with my own Telecine and corrected color to taste. Enjoy!

Might just be me but the narration sounds like Bill Curtis
Nice Quick little 6 min Video…
Thank you Fran
Cool video Fran!
I don't think that wing will be useful at all!
Sorry. I guess I'm just being super critical.
So it could send data down at about 15800 baud, or in other words, slightly faster than a fax. That's pretty good for 1971 considering that 10 years later a lot of the commodore 64 modems people used were still running at 300 baud.
Memories of films at school!
It seems like the Supercritical wing design isn't used much now.
Cool stuff Fran. Keep em coming. Love these old films. You do a fantastic job with this material.
Good Stuff Fran. Do you actually do the transfers or is this stock?
We saw some of these NASA films in school, but where were they originally aired? PBS?
Wow, those old color displays have SEVERAL pixels!
I feel like people took into consideration the presence and effect so much more in the past but I never any consideration of its effect with regards to global warming… only carbon dioxide, methane etc
Its 'a' national space agency, or the national space agency of the united states..not "the national space agency" 🤦merica
AT FRAN: Back in the 70s they had also some digitally controlled (i.e. the x, y axis were arranged by a two digital potentiometers) CRT-Displays with Hexagonal Pixels. IDo you have any video of those? They were researched that time from NASA but I haven't find any image or video from them. P.S. Thanks for the content.
