In memory of and double tribute to Lou Reed and a nod to Jim Carroll too... I had the good fortune to spend an afternoon with Lou Reed at his studio in Manhattan in 2000. You all know the words - so sing along! Everybody! Thanks for watching.

I never comment on anything but here I am in 2023 saying that this version has brought me so much joy. I haven't picked up my guitar in years and now I'm inspired. Thank you.
Good visual aid with the car and a great cover of Sweet Jane.
They all look like Fran!
Oh man. A Tascam Porta whatsit. I sure thought I was hot shit when I got one of those. Very cool. As an aside, I canโt possibly be the first person to bring this up but Fran Analog? Franalog!
I think maybe my new favorite version of sweet Jane!
I know it's hard to cover any form… Please don't stop having fun I would love to jam again sometime…. If ya know what I mean…
Sweet Fran……
Watching the Portastudio repair at the beginning reminded me, I had a Fostex X15 when they hit the market. The mechanism that moved the heads and pinch roller into position would jam, I'd have to wrestle the cassette out without harming it then disassemble Fostex to make it work again. Great rendering of this song.
Just a statement ( I love your channel and you ) but I glanced too quickly at this videos thumbnail and I though it was Marty Feldman. I am not wearing my glasses.
I ONCE owned that tascam.. gave me alot of joy… bytw .. great cover.. jane and lou would be smiling and giving you all thumbs up ( me too ) ๐
At one point I wanted to crush my own balls thanks.
Hey Fran, you are Never gonna be not great. Your subscribers are clearly captivated, and seem to โgetโ your very real presence. Lou Reed must now be smiling. Without trying, you manage to conjure this songโs quintessence, a stripped down cool independence, post glamor
You made my day better, thanks for sharing!
Came for the science; stayed for the spot-on taste in music.
