Well, I have to admit, it's the safetst coil I've ever seen. I bet you could pick up a ball game on an AM radio in there. Sheesh.
The Fran Klin Institute.
Is that a Faraday cage surrounding the coil?
Amazing!
I volunteer at the Franklin. They have the volunteer program shut down temporarily because of Covid but I can't wait to start going back as soon as we are allowed. I'm one of the science presenters that they have posted up at kiosks around the museum.
I WON 1ST PLACE SCIENCE PROJECT AT THE INSTITUTE!!!! CHILD HOOD SCIENCE LOVE( still do)! YUP
That was so awesome!!!!!!!!!
@Fran Blanche
Even "more power to you" so to speak.. at the Boston Museum of Science Theater of Electricity.
Please come to Boston in the spring time…
It's alive! It's alive!
Awesome
I love tesla coils and high voltage โก
I wish you could have come to Boston to see the theater of electricity in the Museum of Science here. They have had to dim down the power on it like 10 years ago after the wood started to age poorly (they say because of humidity).
Spark gap go Brrrrrrrrrrr! <3
