This is my first try at doing a two shot printing process with my 3D printer and the results are very satisfying. I see a lot of potential for this technique. Enjoy!

Great use of 3D printing, and I'm inspired by you using two different materials. I'll have to try that once I get better at printing with a single filament type ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Thumbs up

Isn't PLA and PETG (was the flexible filament PETG?) also hydrophile as the previous material?

One of the biggest uses for my 3d printer is lens caps and other obsolete camera stuff. It's so much easier to keep old stuff in service now.

interesting. not sure what else it could be useful for apart from a base. i guess if you wanted to do a model of wheres wally?

i really like the idea of 3d printing, but it gives this lined finish that looks terrible. im always surprised most 3d prints i have seen people show off haen't been smoothed. especially for aesthetic things like ink-well caps.

Nice one Fran. Have you tried the smoothing method which uses acetone ?

Good it would be if you allowed the automatic translation of your videos.

It is my understanding that the printer ridges can be smoothed out using acetone.
