This 16mm film from my collection is made in Japan but published for the US market with American narration. Most of the color is gone, but not the excitement! Lots of hypnotic test setups that demonstrate wave motion. You're getting sleepy.... Veeeery sleeeepy...... zzzzzzzzz.... Er - Enjoy!

That's some diabolical ,madman, doomsday , bouncing pendulum machine you've got there.
The kids on the swings remind me if the Oompa Loompa’s in the Movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,
The intonation in the voice of the narrator at the end made me smile.
There’s solar activity for several days now, could be your wave machines being finicky?
You just made my internal archivist tendencies very happy.
The kids swing felt like a bit of liminal space
Fran I like your red swimming cap. 😉
Those kids must have been traumatized…
Wow!
At the beginning when I saw NHK, the first thing that came to my mind was bearings. LOL
Good stuff.
The didactic behind lots of those old videos is much, much *much* superior to lots of videos you get to see nowadays. Like for example the one about electricity some months ago was so well done, I showed parts of it to my class.
Thank you for the upload.
