Getting ready to get back to the real FranLab stuff, and so I wanted to go over where we are right here in the Summer of 2022 - and what is in the near future. Thanks to everyone who has kept FranLab afloat over this second painful move in just 4 years!

i buy tools and parts for long term projects, then the day i need something, i cant find it, without hours of searching thru sheds, bus storage, vehicles, knowing i had seen it recently, i understand your frustration, i buy more replacements, its easier then opening boxes, etc
I used to live in the same heat and humidity in Chicago. And we couldn't afford air conditioning. I remember lying on top of the sheet trying to sleep and being forever damp from sweat. You take a shower and try to dry off, and you never really dry off. Wearing glasses, you go from an air-conditioned building outside and your glasses fog up from the humidity. Properly placed fans DO help a great deal, however.
What happens when you get evicted again?
Fran, I'm not sure if you considered the fact that once you attain your privilege to exercise it in regards to actually flying, you must also maintain your proficiency. That cost is rarely considered in the total cost of earning and maintaining your rating. If one cannot afford to stay current, then you really cannot become and remain safe. So, maybe you did the right thing without realizing it.
Fran: You need to do Fran Live-Aid (I presume you remember the concert from the 1980's). Maybe break out those guitars for some superchat money (I am joking, but it might be neat to try).
Question: Did your taste & smell make a full recovery? Hoping you got it all back. I haven't been able to follow your channel, since like you I been busy. At any rate, I wish you well & hope your doing super well!
Take care!
It's always been hot here in Central Texas, but nothing like this year. We'd normally have a few days just over a hundred here and there throughout the summer, starting in late June. This year it's been over a hundred every single day since the start of June. To make matters worse, we've had no significant rain for over a year. I've lived here since 1960 and have never known it to be so hot or dry, it's like a dust bowl. Not even the cactus are surviving.
I look forward to seeing your projects! That will be a real treat. As for me I just became an electrical engineering manager at work – I love it! I get to see more cool stuff than before. I know this is not economically viable, but it would be fun if we had a product called the FranKit – after Heahkit, of course! You are great!
Fran, you are amazing. Just don't stress. Think smaller, prioritize. No matter what you bring to the viewer it is always great,, interesting and very informative. You are a great gal. You are passionate about everything you do, but don't overload yourself. We love you.
I really think this is a unique channel. Our economy is going through difficult times and changes. Fran needs to tighten her belt and ride it out as best as possible.
Fran Lab is still in boxes no big deal I get it life over the past 3 years has been a blur for so many people no worries. I really enjoy the film collection videos it must take a lot of time preparing them for the copyright police but it's great stuff thanks
climate change is a thing 🙁 … i remember the same climate in the UK in the 70s and 80s
You are awesome!
I lived in Philly 20 years ago and it was hot as hell… and I grew up in Oklahoma where we're no stagger to heat.
Cut your cloth to your measure, they used to say. Share your unique perspective 🙂
