Groovy!
I guess this is why there were so many signs around south Philly that just said "I Buy Trains" then a phone number … no further clarifications 😂, This makes much more sense!
Fantastc
👍👌✌🚂🚞🚞🚞
It's one of the largest and best known train shows in the country. Hope you enjoyed going. Nephew Dan gave me heads up on your vid.
Some of those trains even have graffiti on them 😂
Model railroaders don't get a lot of respect in TV shows and such. In one (I think it was "Two and a Half Men") the scene is in a bookstore. They show a fellow paying for a couple of books and the smarmy clerk says, "Model Railroading Encyclopedia and Cooking for One – Do you see the connection?"
Still have the Lionel Diesel Switcher Set (Model 1611) my brother and I got back in the early 1960's…all still 99% mint condition
Lionel made the set to commemorate Alaska Statehood
The only thing that did not survive in pristine condition is the box it came in
Neat model train show.
Looks like you were there on Saturday
I was never really into model trains, but the more I see stuff like this, the more I realize there might have been a lot of appeal for me in building and populating the scenery, like a city-sized dollhouse where I could do environmental storytelling … all while little trains went by. 😀 Very cool.
Childhooddreams😊
That tanker car at the end said "Bethlehem". That was the name of a big steal plant in West Seattle when I was growing up there in the 70s.
All those Atlas, Con-cor, Lionel, etc, boxes fill me with happiness inside.
Many thanks Fran for this Model Train show video.
That Saturn 5 rocket looked very real.
USA railroads are so much more interesting than the UK ones.
I thought train collecting and model railway layouts was a British thing….but good to see these fantastic sets..
