It's been a long time since I've done an installment of Cassette Time - but here's another short impromptu song made right into my portable cassette recorder. Enjoy!

I traded my electric guitar for a portable 8 track tape player and the sound of this thing is incredible!!!
I loved cassette players so much and they are still so popular I guess why after all these years they still make them.
Wow, really good..thank you.
Cool
hey b0ss, can i habe casete pls
Nice
Sweet!
i still have my old walkman. sadly all my tapes are beyond wore out and not repairable. the radio on it still works…until they decide to go to digital like they did with tv.
Brad “the guitologist “ fixes amps .He might help with the oozing line cord . Can’t wait for part two
Thank you for sharing this impromptu gem of a piece with all of us. Enjoying hearing this side of you.
Hi Fran. Not so keen on the intro, but loved the short clip of you playing AND singing. Your composition, I suspect? :–)
Real Lo-Fi stuff . . . gotta love it.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is true talent that does not require pitch correction or fancy effects! I love the raw feeling of this recording, there's something to be said for pure, organic music like this.
If I can add a suggestion, maybe in the future if you compose a song like the FranTune we love so much, would you consider using audio samples of various components you've showed us over the years for instrumentation? I think the Bina View would make a good snare drum, and maybe the latching relay could be a closed high-hat sound?
I mention this because there's a YouTube channel I used to watch where the creator is essentially a One-Man Band – he covers pop songs with his own singing, and he'll thump an inflated balloon for a bass drum noise, etc. I thought, with your talent and all the doodads around you, you could probably whip up one heck of a jam!
If the Floppotron can get massive views, I don't see why a One-Fran Band can't be just as successful. 😉
Love itl
You should host a weekend meet and greet sometime. Play and sing and show off some of your exceptional talent. With enough advance notice, I know I would come.
