Shipping department employees use huge boxes to ship small items when they are pi$$ed off at their employer or their boss, in order to cause the employer to spend more money on shipping. We have seen it done a lot for items purchased from Amazon, as well as Nordstroms.

what a really weird 45! 😂😂 I don't think John would've like what they did with this but always about the money. I don't like that these people come out with songs like this LONG after most of the Beatles are dead and they create it out of some alleged lost lyrics or something. I became a Beatles fan through my sister who had Beatles vinyl albums in the early 60's. She played them all the time and use to put them on the "record player" in the living room and put the speakers in the windows so her and her friends could hear them outside.. WOW like it was yesterday and I was probably about 3 or 4 years old. Love the old memories. I had a lot of her albums for a long time but as everything else they ended up being lost along the way of my many years and moves. Anyway this is interesting the red vinyl? lol Fran has lots of fun I see. 😁😁

It's a real shame that the 'new' version of Now and Then is missing so many parts of John's original demo — I wonder if he would be pleased or dismayed.

You probably know the videos creator "DiodeGoneWild", but if no, I think I made you happy, so I would be happy if I were you… 🙂

"Now and Then" is available on a 7-inch 45 RPM single, but it has the small center hole. I don't think anyone is making 7" 45s with the large center hole anymore — at least not any of the major record companies.

@Fran Blanche — seems there is a 7" 45 available on The Beatles official web site's store. The black one is $16.98.

I agree it's wasteful, but at least it's wasn't a mailer that could get bent. I've heard some horror stories regarding Amazon record purchases.

I can beat that one Fran. Back in late 80's we had an HP free standing tape drive that we wanted to convert to rack mount. Ordered up the long list of bits n pieces from HP which duly arrived except for one backordered part. Did the conversion, couldnt figure out where a part was missing. About two months later a box similar to the one you had arrived. Inside all the packing material wasva ziplock bag. Inside the ziplock bag was the back ordered part – a zip lock bag that you were supposed to use to store 4 bolts in case you ever wanted to turn the drive back into free standing! Typical HP thoroughness, cant imagine what it cost to pick, package and deliver that zip lock bag!!

depending on the brand of jukebox you have some of them were very rough on the records the best handling jukeboxes were Seeburg they had a very clever way to handle and play the record that was not damaging to the record

Such a waist of packaging. Nice record Fran. Even tho it’s not the size you ordered.
