This was cool.
I was at the capital on January 6th with a few friends. And as we were bashing in the heads of the capital police (heroes all) I stopped for moment and I thought about what I was doing. I thought, “this is not cool”. I put down my baton, walked to the greyhound station and bought a ticket back home. And I haven’t looked back.
Something that I have always disagreed with are generational stereotypes. There is good and bad from every generation. I'm also curious about your opening and closing music. I really enjoy it.

I see what you mean, virtually all the people I could think of who I consider to be cool are from times gone by; Freddie Mercury, Brian May, The Fonz, professor Brian Cox, David Bowie, Marc Bolan, Queen Elizabeth ll, who are just a few off the top of my head. So, I disagree that no one is cool but agree that you mostly have to look back in time for the cool-est.Rob
The archetypal GenX in my boomer mind is the Gordon Gecko, greed-is-good yuppiedom, all to the pseudo-jazz-sound of Steely Dan playing in the background…
As a boomer myself, I think Fran is her definition of cool. 😎
Cool is subjective, but here's what it is to me: 1) The ability to be happy for other people. 2) Not just accepting yourself, but DELIGHTING in yourself, fully embracing your own unique essence as a person and realizing you can experience joy and euphoria from existing in your own shows. Today we see anyone with a hint of pride or self-love as a narcissist while forgetting a certain level of narcissism is called self-esteem. 3) Being able to say no in a room full of people screaming at you that you have to say yes and have no other option. Stand in your own power and enable others to do the same. That's cool.
What about Cool Hand Luke? Now come on!
I don’t know Fran, I think that intro and outtro music is pretty cool. Bass and twang guitar with tons of reverb = cool (to some anyway)!
It’s hip to be square. Thanks Huey. Actually as I head into old age I realize that people who are authentic and true to themselves are “cool” in my book, regardless of what they look like.
