It took the whole project for me to discover that you really don't have to disassemble the front panel to replace the badge, but live and learn. Your results may vary.... but I did it my way!

Ah yes, the ol' voodoo logo hold over when hp bought them. Sad to see them erased completely when omen updated the logo, but the logo itself wasn't my thing really.
That was pretty cool.
I grabbed one of these HP Omen desktops right before Christmas because it was just a crazy good deal (2080, 8700, SSD etc) for like $1000, and honestly I actually like the case and I thought the same thing when I saw that big lit square in the front with the angry voodoo man or whatever the hell it is. May try this at some point.

I love little projects like this. There's nothing better than taking a mass produced product and putting your own personal touch on it.
Have you ever looked into getting a vinyl cutter? The smaller hobbyist ones are fairly affordable and great for stuff like this. I've even used mine to make resists for etching pedal enclosures.

I remember using a program to edit my login screen on Windows 7, never thought of making new badges for the computer case! I've seen 8 Bit Guy make replacement badges like the originals.
