It has once again become necessary for me to acquire good health insurance for this year and beyond, but doing that and paying out of pocket till November will take most all of the project budget for FranLab, so I have started this campaign to reach out to my followers to assist me in meeting my medical expenses for this calendar year of 2023 - https://gofund.me/1710dfda

Wow. can someone tell what's so good about the US that people stay
Healthcare is almost criminal in America… and as someone of your age I understand how important insurance is. Good Luck.
It is shameful that a rich, well-educated country like the USA is lacking universal health care for its citizens. I hope that my small contribution will be helpful for you. Thank you for your efforts and YouTube content.
The U.S. is a third world country in terms of health insurance. I am glad that there is no such thing. Here, health insurance is mandatory and you are not without insurance for a second.
You could always, what… move to a different country? Far be it ,…I guess.
Fran you seem really upbeat and positive – which is good to see
Hi Fran, sort of new to your channel, newbie..101.., 😇
I found your guitar content really interesting and also informative,
The electroic world of music is amazing, and as an acoustic artist I'd love to hear your views on caressing an acoustic. 6 string to new heights of Complex Simplicity.
Cheers
Mark
Canadian here… and there is very few words I could use to describe how I feel what Fran is going through here… And I was about to send money to Fran to help her… but then I thought… am I really helping on a broader scale if I help this particular individual? The 'Murican elephants will say "we don't need socialized health-care, because people can get help with their medical bills and/or insurance by using crowdfunding campaigns".
sorry about this kiddo. I understand. Getting old aint easy. Then again, believe it or not, our system seems to be the best regardless of what many would say.
That sounds like an absolutely crazy system! It makes zero sense that you can lose your health care coverage just because you moved your address. It's not like you moved to a different city or state!
I find it incredible that you have to pay for your medical treatments. I find it even more incredible that it is so expensive.
Here in the UK, healthcare is free at the point of service. It is paid for by a central pot that is filled via taxes, and on an individual level, the amounts are tiny.
Private health insurance is available, but all that gets you is a bit quicker and a bit nicer hospital room.
The vast majority of us use the NHS (National Health Service). It is currently under strain due to backlogs, but it is still damn good. People knock it, but they would not go without it.
We pay for medicines, but they are very heavily subsidized. We pay around $12 for our medications, no matter what they are per item. Some items can all go on the same prescription, meaning we just pay the $12, but others have to go on a separate prescription, so we pay multiples of the $12 depending on how many items we need.
I know this is of no use to you, but it shows how different countries deal with health.
Fran, I just sent you a big donation at Go Fund Me. How long before you can go on Medicare?
I have no sympathy for Americans who complain about their healthcare system but continue to vote in and support politicians that won’t give them universal healthcare.
