Hi Fran, i love all your videos. You can talk about two things about pencils and communication Tech… Diodes with pencil for rectifier airwaves (Crystal radio)… and discover the pencils today no have Graphite!! so you can make crystal radios with this anymore!!…. Thanks for share.
Fascinating, I never knew these existed. I imagine the grippiness and lighter tone are a result from the structural requirements for the graphite when used without wood support.

✏️I think the integrated eraser pencil was invented and patented in your city, Fran.
Graphite sticks have been around for many years. They are mainly intended for drawing and sketching and are usually a bit thicker than a pencil. I don't know if this is ment to be a novelty version of a pencil or if it is indeed a slim graphite stick. I would certainly use it as the latter.
Regular wood pencils are quite wasteful of the graphite when you sharpen them, this must be even worse! Mechanical pencils ftw
I use them in the carpentry shop. Sharpen them w chisels.
when I was a kid I used to attach wires to each end of a pencil and hook it up to a battery and watch it burn.
the woodless Cretacolor pencils are really nice and pleasing to use, better quality i reckon.
Isn't that the right color? I mean, by eye I clock it closer to H2, but it's not harder than that. It's not as B2 as your comparison pencil, but it doesn't seem so far off.
Fran, I have a passion for writing with fountain pens. I enjoy looking at ledger books. court house records, etc. and seeing what true, real, beautiful writing was years ago. Would be pleased to see one of your videos on this subject. I think you would present a wonderful video. Thanks
