Come Fly With Me! In this very special video I put you right in the cockpit for an unforgettable experience. Howard Cooper of Tailwinds Flight Education has performed over 5,000 flights, and he lends his expertise as a flight instructor to take us through everything we need to know about his Cessna 172. We go through a thorough pre-flight check, and Howard describes the controls and instruments in the aircraft. Then we get ready for a flight - taxiing through the airport, you hear the talk with air traffic control, and we take off on a non-stop flight from the Northeast Philadelphia Airport to Wilmington Airport in Delaware for a quick touch-and-go and return to Northeast Philadelphia Airport - all in real time - and complete with mission audio. This is as real as it gets! I hope that you can enjoy this experience even half as much as I did!

Thanks for the great video. I used to fly with a friend of mine who had a really nice Cessna. He did all the flying. I wish he had let me fly. I had wanted to fly since I was 5 years old but the the local instructor was an bleep-hole. I should have found another one.

If you do nothing else, read "Stick and Rudder" by Wolfgang Langewiesche. You'll also stop chasing your needles by remembering that the power/throttle controls your altitude while your tail tail controls your speed.

Welcome to the aviation community. Keep your blue up and your brown down.

From a 30 year licensed pilot, this was great. The class B airspace is a little hectic to learn in but it will make you a better pilot. All the best in your future flying.

how the heck Fran knows all that? Is there anything that Fran doesn't know?

Thanks, Fran! The controllers in this video were a bit of a surprise. I guess I've been spoiled by the professionalism typical in 310 Pilot videos ๐Ÿ™‚
