You could still make and sell these if you wanted. I'd buy one. I can solder but if I try to sew, well, let's just say that the Band-Aids had better be nearby.
grab the guitar only with the tips of index fingers and you will find where to drill the new holes for the strap, not only for the neck dive issue, but also in order to adjust the tilt of the fretboard depending your wrist. if you can read the fret markers inlays then your tendons will suffer. i found out this when i broke a screw on a wenge body and it was easier to drill new hole nearby, and it improved how the guitar sit down felt against my body standing up better position. you can test the center of mass holding with one finger on the already made strap button on the bottom, then find the right spot on the upper horn or whenever it is depending the model.
Great idea Fran! Where can I purchase this clip or the strap with the clip?
Nahhhh!!!!!! as an Australian manly man, I use a Roo's nut sack swinging from my end button with a couple of lead fishing sinkers in it, -it looks cool as hell and I get all the babes at my gigs at the same time
Gibsons look so bad ass that we put up with them being objectively bad at doing their job lol. I have an annual broken headstock repair budget for my gibsons. Gibsons require inventors to finish their designs. But they look SO cool
Where can I get a clip like that Fran?
A new use for a
Sam Browne belt
Brilliant, Fran! But why not attach the strap to the neck near the nut? -Doug Pratt, Atlanta, Georgia, USA
Damn Fran …you're awesome! First time viewer here and where have you been all my life? And a girl after my own heart playing an SG! Just kidding lol
Brilliant Idea by an obvious genius…
But seriously you should pitch it to Gibson to include the damn thing with every SG they sell! It's really a genius idea although I may have seen something similar before?? Just last week I was arguing with some probably Gibson reps on a YouTube video that an SG was the best guitar ever made imo.. except for the neck dive. And these morons acted like I was crazy and just outta line for the notion. They had me second guessing myself and I Currently own two SG's…smh
You are so sexy holding that guitar ๐ธ
My SG doesnโt neck dive. Of course, the 4 other ones that Iโve owned haveโฆ
i would rather buy it from you…
First time seeing your one of your vids, thanks for the info!
I also wanna say that I absolutely adore your personallity/vibes.
Keep on doung your thing, cool person!
Okay, but… What if you aren't wearing a belt?
Very good. I recently got an old Squier M-80 that head dives like crazy. I've been trying ideas for a strap that overcomes that, your idea is very clean and the clip looks very nicely done. Keep up with your cool projects!
